Hallowe'en Countdown 2018: CERN is Wonderland

Today's post reveals how online researchers can take two terrifying ideas and combine them to create a new, counter-factual alt-history that is more terrifying because it seems more true, when it is actually less true.

Magic and Science, A Post-Truth Horror Mash-Up

These two frightening rumours are:

Theory 1: Evil Science
Those developing technology mean to enslave us with mind-bending and reality-altering devices that will get out of control.

Theory 2: Evil Magic
The CIA's historically-documented MKUltra program is a still-operational global scheme for brainwashing and controlling select individuals. The program's Nazi roots lead to murky accounts of ritualistic cults, black magic mayhem and murder, Satanic ritual abuse (SRA updates the ritual murder myth), prostitution and child torture. The hypothesis runs that MKUltra's malevolent techniques are now being applied wholesale via entertainment and news media to mainstream culture. A typical testimony in this genre is here.

Theory 1 seems more credible and tamer in terms of content than Theory 2. It isn't.

Theory 1: TLDR
  • The double slit experiment proved that an observer transforms an object by observing it. Scientists declare this occurs only on the quantum level.
  • Terrifying online theory: this leads to the question of whether any serious research projects have set out to understand and control that process on a large scale, thus potentially gaining the ability to shape general reality and change history at will.
  • To do this beyond the quantum level (if that is possible), researchers would have to control masses of observers in the first place; they would have to learn how to control human perception generally; and they would then have to begin to conduct experiments on that energetic field.
  • There is a hypothesis on the Internet that there may be a mathematical formula which defines how human perception affects reality. That is, this is a mathematical formula for the physics of human consciousness as it interacts with, and impresses itself upon, the material world.
  • A further hypothesis considers that the means to control human perception was already known in some cryptic way in occult or magical practices, but that means was not scientifically understood or instrumentalized in a reliable, industrial way. Thus far, the bending of space-time has supposedly been rooted in organic manifestations generated by highly-intuitive, spiritually-gifted, and esoterically-trained individuals. Some of these occult secrets have been revealed publicly through the arts.
  • Or they have been revealed through politics. Another fringe theory maintains that the murderous politics of Nazi Germany was an occult experiment in altering mass perception, thereby forcing reality and history to change, with genocidal consequences.
  • Yet another fringe theory asserts that after the fall of Nazi Germany, the Nazis' research into mass mind control was transferred to, and continued in, the USA and the UK at Project MKUltra and the Tavistock Institute, respectively.
  • Conspiracy theorists think all that work is now bearing terrible fruit and that CERN is the big scientific experiment dedicated to orchestrating human perception, thereby building a tool that will create new realities through the manipulation of mass consciousness.
  • One alt-researcher, Daniel Liszt, thinks that the map for CERN's research was originally presented in mathematical formulas embedded in the Alice in Wonderland books by British author, Lewis Carroll. The Annotated Alice reveals how Carroll did indeed insert mathematical formulas into his fiction.
  • The assumed CERN-Wonderland connection was fostered by the fact that CERN actually has a heavy ion detector called ALICE.

As technology gets more and more complex, critics fear that scientists are playing with fire and disregarding age-old injunctions against violating certain universal principles (for example: 'don't bring the dead back to life,' 'don't alter timelines,' etc.). They also believe Big Science derives from earlier occult teachings and they think magic is being implemented through technology.

Youtuber mentioned in my 12 October 2018 post, the Dark Journalist, Daniel Liszt, claims that CERN is playing with strange fire, a term that goes back to the Bible (Leviticus 10:1) and Enochian magic. God told Moses's nephews not to use 'strange fire' under any circumstances.

Theory 2: Emma Britten, A Different Alice

As for Theory 2, this post analyzes Liszt's work on mind control and secret societies, as well as nebulous links made to CERN. In the May 2018 video above, he put forward a theory that CERN is a magical as well as a scientific experiment. He believes that CERN is affecting physical reality and time. He is not alone. Believers in the history-altering Mandela Effect think that scientists at CERN caused the effect, either intentionally or by mistake.

In my last post, I mentioned the Romantic ballet stage in the 1840s as the starting point in a search for a formula for human consciousness. To follow Liszt further, we return there, where one of the ballerinas of the 1840s was Emma Hardinge Britten (1823-1899), born Emma Floyd. The assumption here is that the arts scene, even then, was connected to the occult.

And so it was with Britten; she was an actress and dancer in her twenties. But as a child, she had had worked as a psychic medium for the preeminent secret society of London of the time, comprising artists, writers, politicians and aristocrats. Presided over by Edward Bulwer-Lytton (1803-1873), the society likely included Charles Dickens (1812-1870) and Benjamin Disraeli (1804-1881). On page 4 of Britten's autobiography (read it here) she called this group, the "Orphic Circle." You can see material by and about Britten, herehere, and here.

Liszt also thinks the Orphic group included Charles Lutwidge Dodgson aka Lewis Carroll (1832-1898), although there is no proof he was a member. He was, of course, the Oxford mathematician and Anglican deacon who wrote Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1865) and Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There (1871).

Because membership of the Circle was secret, it is difficult to substantiate Liszt's hypotheses. You can read research attempting to identify the Circle's members, here and here, with a great social connections map, here. A scholarly find from 2015 connected Charles Dickens and Lewis Carroll, but that's a long way from saying they were in a secret society together. They were both members of the Athenaeum Club in London. You can see a list of Lewis Carroll's personal connections here.

Techniques to Alter Perception

In the Alice Tarot, Alice is The High Priestess. Notice the clock is backwards through the mirror, inside Wonderland. This 2014 deck commemorated the sesquicentennial of the 1865 publication of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland; it was designed by Karen Mahony and Alex Ukolov, the founders of Baba Studio, formerly based in Prague. Unlike eastern mysticism, the western mystery schools are shuttered institutions. Britten's autobiography gives a rare glimpse into that world. In the 1830s, she maintained that the Orphic Circle sought girls, aged 9 to 15, as psychics to help the Circle see the future, unlock mysteries, and run the British Empire. These secret society cultists relied on earlier techniques developed by Franz Mesmer (1734-1815).

Britten's grandfather was a well-known "Welsh wizard" named Owen Glendower (Britten Autobiography, p. 4). Magical ability is supposedly hereditary. This was why Glendower's granddaughter was recruited to work with the Orphic Circle from approximately ages 11 to 13, through the efforts of her father, Ebenezer.

Britten claimed that the Orphic Circle was interested in scrying, or seeing the future, because mediums and channelers are effectively time benders and can see things beyond recorded history and normal human timeframes. The Circle induced trance states in Emma and other girls. Once in trance, the group probed the girls with questions and prompted them to make predictions, upon which the Circle could make brilliant political policies.

Based on the similarities between Britten's real life account and the Alice in Wonderland books, Daniel Liszt has concluded that Emma Britten was Carroll's original inspiration for the fictional Alice, until the character was further developed in the 1850s and 1860s.

But Emma Britten could not have been the inspiration for the character Alice in Wonderland. This is a strange assumption because Britten was nine years older than Carroll. That means that Lewis Carroll aka Dodgson was in his crib when Britten - according to her own account - was entering psychic trances and giving information to the Orphic Circle in London.

I could not find any other person who asserts that there is a connection between Britten and Carroll, by way of the Orphic Circle or otherwise. Liszt's basis for this claim seems to be the fact that Carroll was a Rosicrucian, although it is not clear what they had to do with the Orphic Circle. Maybe they were one and the same. Perhaps he links these two figures by way of Britten's occult activities in later life.

Emma Britten went on to travel to America, where she became involved with other spiritualist movements in the late 19th century. In 1875, she was one of six founding members of the Theosophical Society under the leadership of Madame Helena Blavatsky.

Britten's 1876 book Ghost Land (read it here) confirmed that the Orphic Circle existed from 1830 through the 19th century, until it morphed into other movements; whether it still exists or not is a good question.

Outcomes of Orphic Circle activities appeared in Austrian Rudolf Steiner's philosophy of an objectively-existing spiritual world, Anthroposophy. Steiner (1861-1925), founder of today's exclusive leftist Waldorf Schools, was an esoteric proto-Nazi. He wrote a book called Cosmic Memory. Prehistory of Earth and Man (read it here), about humankind's lost memory of Atlantis.

Post-Truth Conclusion

It appears that Liszt is anachronistically looking for a 19th century Patient Zero in the design of 20th century MKUltra mind control, and he believes that Carroll's fictional character Alice portrays that trance-inducing, brain-washing process, as do Emma Britten's accounts in her autobiography. But that does not mean the latter inspired the former.

Several figures blur together in this online investigative alt-history: Emma Britten (real, 1820s-1890s); Alice Liddell (real, dated 1850s-1930s); Alice (fictional, dated 1865); MKUltra victims (real, dated 1950s-1960s-?).

Nevertheless, Liszt's hypothesis may be partly correct. The Wonderland books may confirm that the Orphic Circle's activities continued after Britten's involvement in the 1830s, into the 1850s. In theory, those activities may have included the famous namesake of the books, Alice Liddell (1852-1934), as well as the other Liddell sisters, who were daughters of the Dean of Christ Church College, Oxford.

Britten remained muted on how the Orphic Circle induced trance states in their young female psychics. There is some elaboration here on their use of drugs. Considering the hookah-puffing, opium-smoking caterpillar that sits on a mushroom in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1865), the group may have drugged the girls, hypnotized them, and worse. In 2015, it was revealed that Lewis Carroll's papers contain a nude photo of Alice Liddell's sister, Lorina, which is unambiguously improper and sexual.

A growing cadre of online survivors (who may or may not be credible) claim that sexual abuse, especially at a vulnerable age, is associated with artificially-induced mind-altered states and trances. But again, any connection here to Lewis Carroll, much less the Orphic Circle's continued activities in the 1850s and 1860s, is wild speculation.

Rabbits and Rabbit Holes

It has become common to refer to George Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-Four as the fictional predictor of our times. Big Brother is watching you. Beware the Thought Police.

However, unconscious references to Lewis Carroll's work also dominate the Millennial Internet, with talk of 'following the white rabbit,' and tumbling down rabbit holes.

Alice symbols have faded into the background so seamlessly that they are analyzed much less than Orwellian references. No one asks why 'going down the rabbit hole' fits online information-seeking so well. Why is pop culture littered with Wonderland chessboards? Why do we feel like Alice?

The rabbit is the central symbol of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Rabbits are very old magical symbols. Below is a well-known example: the magician taps his empty top hat with his wand, after which he pulls out a rabbit.

From 1899 to 1911, illusionist David Devant lived in West Hampstead, London, UK. See my earlier post on Hampstead, here. Image Source: West Hampstead Life.

Decoded, the hat is a symbol for the female cup, or womb. The wand symbolizes the phallus. The rabbit represents fertility and life created out of nothing. This combination is a symbolic code for creating matter from energy; it depends on a combination of masculine and feminine principles, balanced by a larger, knowledgeable God-like presence (the magician), who provides the spark. The rabbit is about the magic of manifestation.

The rabbit also symbolizes time. There is a certain point where the creation of something out of nothing is associated with infinity. Thus, this ubiquitous symbol of the magician with the rabbit and hat combines three ideas from physics: matter, energy and time. The idea is further evident in the Three Hares symbol, discussed at length at the blog, Trans-D Digital Arthere.

Below, see subversive rabbit symbolism, associated with the moon, femininity, fertility, and psychic or altered mindsets, as depicted in pop culture over recent generations.

The exploitation of the rabbit symbol may have reached its present conclusion in disturbing alt-Internet rumours of mind-altering experiments on, and abuses of, children. These allegations (here) are among of the most terrible things I have seen on the Internet.

However, they might be highly-politicized disinformation in an American election year (for a related political white rabbit reference, see here). Related conspiracy theories say that a 'rabbit' is either a mind-controlled slave or a 'white rabbit' is the slave's handler.

Mind control abuse is partly caused by freezing the mind at a certain traumatic moment. Change time and you change experience and perception. Time stands still in the Wonderland environment. The Mad Hatter kills time. The rabbit is always checking his pocket watch. Bending or controlling time is part of the mystery of Wonderland.

Although this is in no way indicated by CERN's informational video above, alt-researchers fear that mass mind control related to matter, energy, and time manipulation is the experimental goal driving CERN's ALICE detector.

Those who fear such things may see that goal as the reason for frenetic Millennial expansion. Why are we on the clock regarding tech development? Why is high tech being promoted so desperately and so rapidly? What's the rush? It's almost as though we are being pushed toward an unknown future deadline about which we know nothing.
