Local Economies and the Pandemic Response

For today, some discussions focus on the development of local networks for food production to offset supply line shortages. The full podcast previewed above is here. From Local Futures (-Thanks to R.):
"Have you been wondering what the world might look like after this pandemic has passed?

Helena Norberg-Hodge tackled this question and many more with the comedian/commentator Russell Brand in the latest episode of his podcast, Under the Skin. Among the subjects discussed was the recent surge of interest in local food, community-based mutual aid, and radical economic thinking.

Russell is a controversial figure, but he is exceptionally incisive and articulate and has a genuine passion for exploring alternatives to corporate capitalism."
Brand's podcast is promoting some webinars held this month by Swedish speaker, Helena Norberg-Hodge. Local Futures, an anti-globalist leftist organization which promotes local self-reliance, is holding live free webinars with Norberg-Hodge, with one webinar tomorrow:

We can hope that citizens' moves to strengthen local economies will offset the breakdown of global supply chains and trade.
