Mexico's Mirror: Drug War Extermination and Simple Freedoms

It could be a crazy rumour to relaunch a social media channel, or it could be a true account of unreported mass killing. Shaun Attwood's Youtube channel, which is covering the Epstein case each day, today featured another Youtuber, OG Shadow, an American who claims to be living in Mexico.

Mass Murder Camp in Mexico

On 11 January 2020, OG Shadow reported that the Zetas crime cartel have resorted to mass killing independent drug dealers, who are nicknamed 'grasshoppers' or chapulines. In the state of Tamaulipas, a Zetas deserter led government officials to a concentration camp with "over 47 working ovens," which have been burning dead bodies "24/7." One Youtuber dismissed these allegations:
"Google Earth. I spent a few hours canvassing Tamaulipas and found.... Nothing. Nothing even resembling two football fields worth of square rectangular shaped buildings being used as ovens 2 incinerate human beings."
OG Shadow was quite interested in getting views for this video. The report may be no more than a plea for subscribers. On the other hand, Tamaulipas is indeed a region of extreme violence. You can see escalating accounts about the area: here, herehere, and here.

On 17 December 2019, the American State Department issued an advisory against traveling to the state of Tamaulipas. The Valley Morning Star reported:
"The advisory issued on Tuesday warns Americans to refrain from traveling to the state of Tamaulipas due to crime and kidnapping, and the states of Colima, Guerrero, Michoacán, and Sinaloa because of ongoing crime.

Matamoros, Reynosa and Nuevo Laredo are located in the state of Tamaulipas. ... [US] Federal officials report organized criminal activity such as gun battles, murder, armed robbery, carjacking, kidnapping, forced disappearances, extortion and sexual assaults is common in the Tamaulipas area. Criminal organizations usually target public and private passenger buses as well private vehicles traveling through the state."
Three weeks later, an American family was murdered in this region while traveling on the highway.

Los Zetas dominate half of Mexico. Even more disturbing is the fact that they originated from the Mexican Army's special forces. Business Insider described their history here. They became, in the words of the Mexican Defence Department, "the most formidable death squad to have worked for organised crime in Mexican history."

One of the long-running themes of this blog is that the seemingly civilized developed world is built upon massive corruption, slavery, and brutality. We cannot seem to develop prosperous democracies without rooting them in evil. My blog posts explore how we can come to terms with that contradiction without lying to ourselves, and without getting lost in trutherism.

Live Unchained in Mexico

While OG Shadow has confirmed the MSM's terrifying portrayal of Mexico, Canadian Jeff Berwick has sought to counter that image as he promotes his cryptocurrency anarcho-libertarian event in Acapulco, the upcoming sixth annual Anarchapulco (10-20 February 2020). The rap intro of the event's official website runs: Learn how to live unchained.

Berwick's own Youtube channel regularly features him lounging in posh resorts and strolling through high end communities in Mexico City. Last year, he did, as one Youtuber put it, put down his glass of wine and his cigarette and raid Epstein's island - and more power to him. But mainly, he prefers more comfortable circumstances, from which he dismisses the mainstream media, the banking system, the pharmaceutical companies, all statist governments, all globalist enterprises, the police, and most levels of education. He calls the Pentagon, "the Pentagram."

You don't need any of those things, Berwick insists, to become rich, free, and happy. His reports from the manicured parts of Mexico startle in their contrast with the MSM reports we receive of drug cartel bloodbaths. Of course, developing countries have guarded and gated elite enclaves, and Berwick's habitual presence there indicates he is still part of the mirror world that plagues us.

Berwick would likely protest and claim that he is part of the revolution to overthrow a compromised establishment. Nor are his efforts simply part of a drive to build a new hierarchy, because Anarchapulco ties anarcho-libertarianism to spiritual evolution. At best, Berwick is one of a new breed of outsiders, who remain conflicted as they are seduced by the old materialist lifestyles and the new anti-materialist philosophies.
